The EPPH-i project lead, Prof Moses Obimbo, continues to advocate for effective preconception care as a way of combating Postpartum Hemorrhage. According to Prof Obimbo, Non-communicable Diseases (NCD) like Hypertension in pregnancy, Gestational Diabetes Mellitus constitute major risk factors for PPH. In an article published by Health Business Magazine on 9th September, 2025, Health Experts, including Prof Obimbo, urged preconception care to combat rising high-risk pregnancies fueled by NCDs.
