TAKING END POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE CAMPAIGN TO PAN AFRICAN ORGANIZATION FOR HEALTH, EDUCATION AND RESEARCH.

Activity Description

The EPPH project lead Prof Moses Obimbo delivered a keynote address entitled “Transforming Women’s Health: from Bench to Bedside and Beyond,” during the annual meeting of the Pan African organization for Health, Education and Research (POHER). During his address to over 300 young scientists from across Africa, Prof Obimbo highlighted the maternal health challenges facing Sub-Saharan countries that prompted the formation of the EPPH initiative, with its four pillars, namely Advocacy and Community Awareness, Research and Evidence, Health Systems Innovation and Data Systems Strengthening. Discussions following his presentations culminated in greater enthusiasm among those present to participate in activities that contribute to eliminating preventable maternal deaths, like PPH.
