The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The media constitutes a critical partner in Public Health advocacy. The EPPH-i leadership, comprising Prof Obimbo and Dr Kireki on 20th December, 2025, held a consultative meeting with journalists from diverse media houses, including but not limited to Nation Media Group, Royal Media Group, Standard Group, and Radio Africa Group. The meeting held at the Sarova PanAfric Hotel was aimed at appreciating the role the media played during the 2024/2025 PPH advocacy campaign, and charting the way for continual responsible and accurate media reporting to enhance the campaign in 2026. Both parties are committed to steadfastly advancing the fight against Postpartum Haemorrhage in Kenya, and look forward to greater success in Media Advocacy. The media houses also pledged to use their social media platforms to amplify the messages about postpartum haemorrhage.
