The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The PPH Foundation is on the frontline promoting the use of Virtual reality in training of obstetricians and midwives on effective management of Postpartum hemorrhage. Prof Moses Obimbo, the EPPH project lead is actively championing the movement. He has hit the ground running as preparations intensify for the launch of the PPH School. With the curriculum fully developed, the Foundation has begun rollout activities including partner briefings, technical validations, and early demonstrations of immersive training tools. In partnership with VRiSM and Proximie, the School will combine virtual reality, extended reality, and mentored intraoperative support to strengthen real-world readiness for obstetric emergencies. These early actions mark a critical step toward transforming how health workers are trained to prevent postpartum haemorrhage and save mothers’ lives.
