ADVANCING CONVERSATION ABOUT CERVICAL CANCER AND ITS RELATION TO POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE

Activity Description

The End PPH Initiative has been advancing conversations about postpartum haemorrhage in high-level forums, discussing not only PPH but also demonstrating how it intersects with broader maternal and neonatal health priorities. From 26 to 28 January 2026, the End PPH Initiative Project Lead, Prof Moses Obimbo, participated in a forum led by the University of Nairobi and the University of Manitoba STI Collaboratory, held at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi.

During the meeting, he highlighted the link between PPH and cervical cancer, noting that effective cervical cancer control is integral to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality, and strengthening overall women’s health outcomes.
