End Postpartum Hemorrhage Initiative Endorsed by Kenya’s Ministry of Health

Activity Description

The End Postpartum Hemorrhage initiative has been endorsed by Kenya’s Ministry of Health. This followed a joint meeting of the EPPH Global Steering Committee-Ministry of Health held at Pan Pacific Suites in Nairobi on 19th June, 2025. The endorsement followed presentations from Prof Moses Obimbo, the EPPH project lead, on EPPH initiative background, progress updates and goals. Dr Jean Patrick of the Ministry of Health Chronicled the ministry’s initiatives and achievements in combating PPH. The two teams agreed to advance partnership through joint projects and programmes. The EPPH Global Steering Committee was represented by Prof Moses Obimbo, Prof Julius Ogeng’o, Dr Anne Kihara, Dr Kireki Omanwa and Eunice Atsali. The Ministry of Health on the other hand was represented by Doctor Hellen Mutsi, Karen Aura and Scholar Wabwire. The Ministry pledged to support and participate in the upcoming PPH Run, 2025 scheduled for September 28, 2025.
