Medical Students and Midwives to Champion the Fight Against Postpartum Hemorrhage in Kenya

Activity Description

The medical students from the University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University as well as Midwives from Kenyatta National Hospital, Pumwani Level 5 Referral maternity Hospital; Mbagathi referral hospital and several level 4 hospitals in Nairobi have formally joined the fight against Postpartum hemorrhage. The students and Midwives made the resolution after a sensitization training on the End PPH Initiative WHO Road Map to combatting PPH by 2030; Global perspectives of risk factors, presentation and management of PPH; Role of Midwives in PPH advocacy; and Research Advocacy Nexus including Neglected Research and Programme areas. They will be effective champions in PPH advocacy; and Research-Advocacy Nexus including Neglected Research and Programme areas. They will be effective champions in PPH advocacy, raise awareness and mobilize participants for the PPH Run, 2025. The resolution was made at NAT1L House, Westlands during the training of EPPH Champions organized by the EPPH Initiative Global Steering Committee, on 20th June, 2025
