The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The End Postpartum Hemorrhage (EPPH) initiative in Kenya received a major boost when a cohort of fourty (40) corps comprising final year medical students from University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University and midwives from the Midwives Association of Kenya were commissioned to undertake strategic digital advocacy campaign dubbed “RUN FOR HER AND SAVE HER LIFE”. The in-service midwives were drawn from Pumwani Maternity, Mbagathi level 5 and several other level 4 hospitals. The Corps will target the youth especially those in Universities and colleges, as well as pre-service and in-service midwives. They will leverage all social media platforms at their disposal to push context-appropriate plain language messages.
