FIGHTING POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE: MULTI-SECTORAL AND PAN AFRICAN PARTICICIPATION

Activity Description

The End Postpartum Hemorrhage Initiative, led by Prof Moses Obimbo, convened a global multi-sector stakeholder meeting in Nairobi on 25th April,2025 to discuss the fight against postpartum hemorrhage. The panel comprised representatives from UNICEF, CHAI, Eldon cards, Kenya as well as officials of Obstetrical and Gynecological Societies from Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria and South Africa. The participants elaborated the critical roles and initiatives their various organizations have put in place to fight postpartum hemorrhage, and agreed to adopt and support the End Postpartum Hemorrhage Initiative and especially the “Run for Her” campaign.
