FIGHTING POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE IN RURAL COMMUNITIES OF KENYA: RUN FOR HER CAMPAIGN ANCHORED IN MAKUENI COUNTY

Activity Description

Rural communities endure higher burdens of PPH and related maternal mortality due to inadequate availability and access to health care infrastructure, facilities and resources. The End Postpartum Hemorrhage Initiative will take the fight against postpartum hemorrhage in rural communities to the most affected counties. During a consultative meeting with the governor Mr Mutula Kilonzo Jr, it was agreed that Makueni county will lead the way in advocacy by fully supporting the Run for her, save her life campaign. The CEC for health pledged to coordinate a successful PPH run and blood donation exercise in the county.
