End PPH Initiative Gains Momentum at KENAS Pre-Conference Symposium

Activity Description

Prof Moses Obimbo- End PPH Initiative Run for Her lead. delivered a powerful address on the End PPH campaign during a KENAS pre-conference symposium held at Argyle Grande Airport Hotel on 10th June, 2025. The “End PPH, Run For Her” campaign is a growing movement to raise awareness and inspire action against postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), a leading cause of maternal death. This milestone presentation reinforced the importance of embedding maternal health initiatives within national accreditation conversations, ensuring sustainable and measurable progress toward ending preventable maternal deaths.

The symposium brought together more than 100 groups engaged in quality assurance and health system strengthening. The audience warmly received the talk, with active engagement during the session and a visible commitment to maternal health.

Participants praised the initiative's focus on community action, evidence-based advocacy, and capacity building. Many pledged to support and attend the Run for Her event scheduled for 28th September 2025, recognizing its importance as a unifying platform for maternal health advocates across the country.
