The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The EPPH-i in Kenya has gone out full throttle in the fight against Postpartum Hemorrhage by training Kenya’s most celebrated social media big guns to champion the advocacy movement. The social media influencers included DJ Soxxy; Nana Owiti; Kambua Manundu; Crazy Kennar; Mashirima Kapombe and Femi One. The project leaders Prof Obimbo, Dr Kireki, Prof Ogeng’o and Dr Atsali conducted the training at NATIL House on 24th July, 2025. The training entailed details of the burden, presentation, treatment and prevention of PPH, fundamentals of advocacy in PPH; value of research in advocacy and commonly neglected factors in PPH advocacy. They also received updates on EPPH-i and preparations for the PPH Run, 2025.
