The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The EPPH-I has embarked on a rigorous training of corps who will Champion the PPH advocacy campaign in Kenya. The training is being undertaken to empower the advocacy champions with information and knowledge on the magnitude, burden, risk factors, causes, treatment, complications of PPH, as well as background, progress, updates and prospects of the EPPH movement; nuggets of effective advocacy, value of research in advocacy and glimpses of neglected areas in PPH.
The theme of the training is “Becoming a Champion of Postpartum Hemorrhage Advocacy.” strengthening The EPPH movement is anchored on four (4) pillars- Advocacy and awareness; Research and Skills;Health Systems Innovations and Data (ARHID). To facilitate this training, a team of the EPPH-I project leads, Prof Moses Obimbo, Drs Kireki Omanwa, Anne Kihara, Eunice Atsali, Brigitte Wandji, Prof Julius Ogeng’o, and their partners has been formed. The training is supported by ICRH and Better 4 Kenya.
