LEVERAGING LIVED EXPERIENCES IN POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE ADVOCACY

Activity Description

The EPPH-i continues to amplify the voices of individuals with lived experience on postpartum hemorrhage through diverse media outlets. In an article published by The Eastleigh Voice on August 3,2025 entitled “From Near Death to Lifesaver: How surviving postpartum hemorrhage inspired Kenyan midwife’s mission,” Dr Eunice Atsali, a PPH survivor, Secretary General of the Midwives Association of Kenya, vividly narrated PPH her ordeal “At one point when she realized she was going to die, she equipped “Can I just see my baby? Just once…just to hold him before I go.”
