The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
Language is recognized to a formidable in health communication. To circumvent this, the EPPH-Initiative Project lead, Prof Moses Obimbo gave a Radio interview in Kiswahili on some of the medical drivers of PPH. Accompanied by Dr Richard Mogeni, a member of Kenya Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (KOGS) from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital explained clearly the various placental disorders-placenta Previa, accrete spectrum and abruptio (“Ugonjwa wa Kondo la Nyuma ya Kizazi”) that commonly cause postpartum hemorrhage. Obimbo was accompanied by Dr Richard Mogeni from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. The interview was conducted by health journalist Tabby Rotich of Citizen Radio on August 4, 2025.
