The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The EPPH-i continued with its zeal to train advocacy champions for combating postpartum hemorrhage in Kenya by conducting training for cohort IV EPPH advocacy champions on 15th August at NATIL House, Westlands., Nairobi. The over 40 participants comprising pre-service consultant obstetricians and gynecologists, midwifery nurses and in-service midwives drawn from over five (5) institutions – University of Nairobi; Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology; Aga Khan University Hospital, Midwives Association of Kenya and Kenyata Hospital. The training was undertaken by the EPPH-i leadership comprising Prof Moses Obimbo (Project lead), Drs Anne Kihara, Eunice Atsali; Kireki Omanwa and Prof Julius Ogeng’o.
