The PPH Project is dedicated to tackling the global issue of postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity.
Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology final year midwifery students will champion the fight against postpartum hemorrhage in Kenya. The EPPH-i , on 15th August 2025 at NATIL House, Westlands, Nairobi trained pre-service midwives from JKUAT to become effective advocates of the end postpartum hemorrhage movement. The final year BSc Nursing students were trained on the global, regional and national magnitude of the PPH problem; strategies for effective advocacy, the value of research as well as on the non-clinical perspectives of PPH advocacy. The upcoming midwives committed to mobilize their colleagues from the University to join the fight against PPH, and specially to participate in the PPH Run, 2025; scheduled for 28th September, 2025.
